Configure Proliant ML150 G3 server

I'm wanting to install Windows 2003 Standard on the above model of server.

Obviously this server model is not supported by a smartstart install. Anybody got any special recommendations?

Is it a case of configuring the Array controller/logical drives during the BIOS stage then popping in the windows CD.

And is it an option to install a PSP afterwards?

Thanks

hi Andrew

what is your controller?
# HP Embedded SATA RAID Controller
# HP Smart Array E200/128 BBWC Controller
does your server has floppy?

sorry PSP no is supported on 100 Series you need to install driver manually

Re: Configure Proliant ML150 G3 server

hi

ok e200

the situation is this

you need to create the RAID level pressing F8 after that install Windows manually the OS will ask you about a driver for the controller E200 you need to use your usb floppy lo load it (at this point if the flppy does not work is because you need a usb floppy drive HP branded)

if that works go ahead with the installation

if not the other option is to create a CD adding the driver for the controller E200

this using nlite

check the attached file for the explanation
