Configuring Proliant DL180G5 questions

Hello,

I'm a student and it's the first time setting up this server. I'm having a few issues I started reading the manuals which have let me wondering more and some documentations that the box provided.

Issues I'm having at the moment:

1) Can't run CDs, although it's registered in the BIOS but after I try to enter the Boot Menu (F7) it goes "checking NVRam...." stays there for like 6 minutes and reboots without booting the OS installation disc (or any disc)

2) There are 2 SAS 146GB HDs, I want to configure them, I have tried to access ORCA or any other utility but with no avail. I have no clue why they are both offline (no leds turned on). I'm pretty clueless about configuring them and the smart array, if someone could enlighten me and lead me to a documentation that explains the steps or something.


I asked my professor but he didn't provide much insight and left me alone with the server so I'm hoping to tackle this here and learn something.
