Configuring without RAID

How do i configure a Proliant 1600 WIN NT server to run without RAID? I've used the smartstart cd but it always tries to make me create an array.

You have to determine what SCSI controller the hard drives are connected to. If the hard drives are attached to a Compaq array controller, you must create a logical array volume for the drives. If you want to use the hard drives as independent SCSI drives, connect the SCSI cable to the integrated SCSI controller, not to the array controller. Remove the array controller from the system. Run the system configuration program and save the new hardware configuration to CMOS.
