Confused about SCSI on new PL 350ML G5
Just purchased a new PL 350ML G5 with a Ultra 320 SCSI adapter:
http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/servers/proliantstorage/adapters/singlechannel/
When configuring this server I asked the HP person if this was compatible with my current Exabyte VXA-172 tape drive and they said it was:
http://www.exabyte.com/products/products/get_products.cfm?prod_id=661
When I received this I noticed the scsi connector on the card is smaller than the connector on the tape drive.
I haven't had much experience with scsi devices other than my current tape drive and to be honest all the different scsi standards are confusing. I'm now having a hard time finding the right scsi card for my tape drive.
Can someone help me? According to the specs of the Exabyte drive, it's a SCSI-3 Ultra 160 interface.
Thanks!
Tom
