Correctable Memory
We have a number of servers (ML530 - G2s) with Windows 2000 Advance Server SP3 on it. We keep getting the following message in the event log:
Event ID: 1072
Event Title: Compaq System Information Agent: Compaq Health: The frequency of memory error is high enough such that tracking of correctable memory errors has been temporarily disabled.
Although we don't believe this to be a problem, can anyone explain why this keeps appearing in the event log and what can be done, if anything.

Re: Correctable Memory
The memory in the newer Compaq/HP server features error correcting capabilities. The module is functioning - however if you experiencing issues with the server (unknown reboots) the module should be replaced. There was probably a series of messages early in stating what module was failed - however it might have been too long ago to find out what module it was.
