DBan don't see disk on Proliant
Hi,
We got problem with DBAN and Proliant Server.
We boot on an USB Drive to wipe SCSI disk on BL20P G3 or DL380 G5.
My problem is that Dban only see the USB Drive, not the Disk.
Any idea ?
Yvan

Re: DBan don't see disk on Proliant
Hi,
Recent versions of DBAN don't include the cciss driver needed to recognise the SmartArray controller in the ProLiants and doesn't officially support any RAID cards, if memory serves.
You could try hooking the drives up to a SCSI interface instead, or try using one of the older versions from here:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/dban/files/
which did have the cciss driver.
I seem to recall using 1.0.6 on a ProLiant in the dim and distant past, although you may want to try some of the others...
Hope this helps,
Regards,
Rob
