DDR3 memory config in DL380 G6 -> 1333MHz and 48 GB reqd.
i have been doing some (by now) extensive research on the new DL380 G6.
after thoroughly studying the machine's quickspecs i found that 8GB DIMMS will always run at 1067 MHz max.
does that imply that it is impossible to configure 48 GB running at 1333MHz? this is a customer requirement...
thx in advance!

Re: DDR3 memory config in DL380 G6 -> 1333MHz and 48 GB reqd.
No it's currently not possible.
In order to achieve a populated Dimm speed of 1333MHZ, two things must be present.
First you need Dimms whose native speed is 1333 MHz
and second you can only populate 1 dimm per channel. Three dimms per processor or 6 dimms if both processor are present.
It would be possible to achieve 48GB @ 1333MHz using 6 x 8GB DD3-1333 BUT HP is currently not shipping an 8GB DD3-1333, the only 8GB module they are shipping is DD3-1066.
They are shipping a 4GB DD3-1333 (500658-B21), but this will only give you a maximum of 24GB (6x4)
