Re: DL 140 G3 CPU
Hi.
Although the Intel 5160 is currently a supported processor on the DL140 G3, I am not sure what changes HP had to make to get it supported. For example the FSB on your current model is 1066 Mhz whereas the new CPU's are 1333MHz. I'm not sure if this is BIOS switchable or if there is some other switch needed. You should be able to use the existing heat sinks because the power rating of the 5160 is lower than the 5050.
I'm not sure if this helps, but this is the best info I could come up with.
Regards
Andrew Y

MAX FSB is 1333Mhz.
This should work without any worries.
Cheers !
James.
