Re: DL 160 G5 - Fan problem due to bios
hi,
Where do you see the fan error - in BIOS or in OS ? If it is in OS , you can perform an offline BIOS update. If it is in post - make a CMOS clear and check if the error is still there.

Re: DL 160 G5 - Fan problem due to bios
No It isn't the fan we have switched with other and the problem still occurs.
The server gives this errror after flashing bios with older version that seems to have this kind of bug.
The error is at post time. No way toboot because the server halts.
I read something about a disaster recovery jumper for other probliant model that should boot via usb and flash it back.
Do you know this procedures ?
Thanks

Re: DL 160 G5 - Fan problem due to bios
hi,
As I know , there is No System ROM Disaster Recovery available for this server.
You can try to clear the CMOS .
Clear CMOS
You may need to clear the Setup configuration values (CMOS) if the configuration has been
corrupted, or if incorrect settings made in the Setup Utility have caused error messages to be
unreadable.
To clear CMOS:
1.
Perform the Pre-Installation procedure.
2.
If necessary, remove any accessory boards or cables that prevent access to the system
configuration switch.
3.
Locate the system configuration button (SW6) on the system board.
4.
Press the button. AC power must not be connected.
5.
Perform the Post-installation instructions.
6.
During POST, press F10 to access the Setup Utility.
7.
Load setup defaults by pressing F9.
8.
Set time, date, and other system values.
9.
Press F10 to close the Setup Utility.
NOTE:
Clearing CMOS restore all system configurations and password default settings.
The other way to clear the CMOS is to remove the systemboard battery.
regards,
