DL 180 G6

Helllo , I am a newbie to HP Servers. Longtime Dell customer, first time HP. I was in the process of purchasing a DL 180 G6 servers and decided to go with third party hard drives fo (WD RE3) for cost (small business).I was informed that third party hard drives will not work with HP hot swap servers (is this true). Has anyone tried using WD drives with a DL 180 hot swap server.? is there a workaround or parts that i need to purchase?

hi,

using of not officially upported HDD in to the servers, is not good idea, if you have a warranty.
