DL 320 G5 trouble with autologon - Win2k3

I have problems with autologon the first time a new OS is trying to logon the domain. It sits at the logon screen. If I press Ctrl/A/D it logs on by itself and then autologon works fine after that. It seems it is a timing issue with loading or finding the DC.
