DL 360 G3 wont post

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction. I have a dl 360 g3. It was running fine, I had to restart it and it never came back up. When I put a monitor on it I see that nothing happens when I apply power....well let me be specific.

when I apply power

the lights come on green...there is no amber or red anywhere on the motherboard or front panel.

the hard drives spin up, and all the fans run

everything looks fine from the outside, but no bios message or post.

another weird thing is that i cannot get to the ilo either...i thought i should be able to get that even if the server is down.

obviously, i have a hardware issue....any guess as to which component?

please check the ram system and then cpu.

whiteshadow....the os is win2k3....but that does not matter. i cannot boot..or post, so i cannot apply patches


i am going to see if i have another proc i can swap out as was suggested.

I had a similar issue recently with a DL360 and even after pulling out all the RAM and putting it back in in single sticks, it still wouldn't boot. The solution was actually to pull the power out of the machine and leave for a couple of minutes (while the capacitors discharge) and power back in. Sure enough it booted back up again.

well, it looks like Lazarix called it. It has been sitting unplugged for about 2 days, i went back to work on it some more and it power up without issue. i am running diags on it now, but everything seems ok.....hummm
