DL 360 G5 - SAS DISKS

Hello,

I Have a DL360 G5 with a Smart Array P400i 256MB v4.06.
Also i have four 72 GB Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) discs. (PN: 376597-001 - PN: 434916-001)
I buy two 300 GB SAS discs (PN: 518194-002).

The new discs were not reconigzed by the smartarray controller.

I want to know what 300GB discs to buy for this controller.

Any sugestions?

Hello Douglas,

That's an awfully old firmware revision on your controller. Have you updated the firmware yet?

You can get the latest versions from the HP website, and it can run while your OS is up. I'm betting that might be why it refuses to work with the 300GB drives.

The part number listed (518194-002) is the bare drive's assembly number. the equivalent part in the hot-swap carrier is 507127-B21, which is supported by the controller.
