Re: DL 360 G5 Unknow device
Yes, if you re-install the PSP the unknown device will disappear, I have a procedure to do so, long (about 30 min) but really effective.
Re-installing the drivers in the server with the SMART start CD
1. Uninstall SNMP
├в ┬в Control panel
├в ┬в Add/remove programs
├в ┬в Add/remove windows components
├в ┬в Management and monitoring tools
├в ┬в Uncheck SNMP
├в ┬в Uncheck WNI SNMP provider
2. Uninstall VCA
├в ┬в Control panel
├в ┬в Add/remove programs
├в ┬в Remove HP VCA
3. Uninstall everything that says HP
├в ┬в Control panel
├в ┬в Add/remove programs
├в ┬в Remove everything that starts with HP
4. Restart server
5. Install SNMP
├в ┬в control panel
├в ┬в Add/remove programs
├в ┬в Add/remove windows components
├в ┬в Check SNMP
├в ┬в Check WMI SNMP provider
├в ┬в Browse from windows CD the folder I386
6. Configure SNMP
├в ┬в my computer-manage
├в ┬в services and applications
├в ┬в services
├в ┬в look for SNMP
├в ┬в properties
├в ┬в trabs tap (add)
i. public/127.0.0.1
ii. public/localhost
iii. private/127.0.0.1
iv. private/localhost
├в ┬в Security tab (add)
i. Public/read write
ii. Private/read write
7. Install PSP
├в ┬в From SSCD or hp.com
├в ┬в Software tab
├в ┬в Choose install psp (proliant support pack) express for your windows edition
