Can anyone tell me if the DL380 G3 is compatible with Virtualization Technology? Specifically with Novell's Xen? I could not find the option to enable in the bios.
Thanks,
Tracy

Solution
The Intel VT concept was introduced in spring 2005, and the actual CPUs with the feature came some time after that.
Looks like the latest QuickSpecs document for DL 380 G3 was "retired" in January 2005.

According to the QuickSpecs, the DL380 G3 had Xeon CPUs with a maximum FSB speed of 533 MHz. I could not find any Xeon models with the VT feature and a FSB speed of less than 1066 MHz.
I'd say the G3 is simply too old to have the VT feature. You could still use Xen with the paravirtualization mode only.
