DL 380 G3 Network Configuration Utility Installation Failure

I've got a DL380 G3 that I am trying to install the network configuration utility but there exists a corrupted install from before. This is a new server build. When I run the utility install be it 7.70, 7.71 or 7.60, I am notified that an unknown version exists and then the install fails immediately when I try to continue. Has anyone else come across this problem? If you have how did you fix it? If not, is there any way I can remove all evidence of the previously corrupted installation to be able to perform the reinstall?

Re: DL 380 G3 Network Configuration Utility Installation Failure

Jeffrey:

Go into the Network and Dialup Connection Folder and into the properties of one of your Local Area Connections. If you see HP Network and Teaming Configuration Utility, highlight it and click uninstall. Then reboot and reinstall the desired version.

If the teaming software is not showing up under the LAC properties, try this:
1) extract the files from the desired cp file via winzip
2) go to LAC properties and click install - select protocol and click 'have disk' and point to the extracted files. This should allow you to successfully install the teaming software.
