Re: DL 380 G3 blue screen
Two of them are running W2k Server SP4 and the last is running Red Hat Linux 7.3.
The two windows-machines both have one or more entries in the integrated log which looks like this:
- Blue Screen Trap (Bugcheck, STOP: 0x00000044)
- ASR Detected by system ROM.
The Linux machine just logs an "ASR Detected by system ROM"
We are running HP Support Pack 6.4 on the windows-machines and 6.2 on the Linux machine.
The Windows machines are also running the newest firmware revisions.

cp003558.exe
Fix for the blue screen stop code related to the file cpqasm.sys
http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/17850.html
This package is the one for HP Proliant servers WITHOUT a onboard ILO interface.
cp003559.exe
Fix for the blue screen stop code related to the file cpqasm2.sys
http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/17849.html
This package is the one for HP Proliant servers WITH a onboard ILO interface.
As for the stop 0x0000076, I haven't seen this one before. Does it happen at the same time on a regular basis? Can you catch it in the blue screen to get more information? Is there anything in the system event logs?

Re: DL 380 G3 blue screen
Perhaps it is just me that can't find my way around HP's site. After they took over compaq, it has become increasingly difficult to find what I'm looking for.

Re: DL 380 G3 blue screen
Just did some detective work on account that another DL380 G3 did the same.
HPs resolve on the problem: http://h71025.www7.hp.com/support/reference_library/viewdocument.asp?countrycode=1000&prodid=2232&source=EM030509_CW01.xml&dt=3&docid=18683
Qoute:
"A ProLiant server running any edition of Microsoft Windows 2000 or Microsoft Windows Server 2003 may blue screen at random with a "Bug Check: STOP 0x44, MULTIPLE_IRP_COMPLETE_REQUEST" error message when running any of the following ProLiant System Management Controller drivers when the hp Insight Management Agents for Windows 2000/Windows Server 2003 are installed:
ProLiant iLO Advanced System Management Controller driver - CPQASM2.SYS
ProLiant Advanced System Management Controller driver - CPQASM.SYS"
Just be aware that there is a newer version than the link in that page.
The newest is: version 5.31.2195.0 (1 Jul 03)
which resolves even more issues with Blue Screens.

Re: DL 380 G3 blue screen
Joan, have you tried updating to version 6.40 yet? I would try that and see if it fixes your problem. You can even apply the patch that Ian has linked to above. Let us know how you make out.
