DL 380 Netware 6.x

I have dl 380 gen 1 running Netware 6.x, raid 5 18gb drives, want to upgrade drives to 72gb. Do I need to replace one drive at a time or is there a better option.

All the hard drive in a raid have to be the same size. You can replace a hard drive bigger than the existing hard drive and is going to rebuild, but is going to work as an 18GB in this case, the other amount is unallocated, you might try replacing one hard drive at the time and they should rebuid, but after that you will have to extend the size of the array. All that takes a long time. My recommendation and the most healthy would be to back the information replace all the the hard drives, install the OS and restore from back-up.
If it's not fun, you're not doing it right
