Re: DL 380 g5 hyper-v 2.0
it should be support, because the server is 64 bit, and windows server 2008 R2 can run only on 64 bit machines.
here you can find all supported OS for your server type
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?prodNameId=3288134тМй=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=1121516&taskId=135
its support Windows 2008 R2 ( ehere can be the Hyper-V role simply installed )

Re: DL 380 g5 hyper-v 2.0
and don't forget change in bios :
go into the BIOS by pressing F9. Go to "Advanced options > Processor Options" and enable these two sub-options:
"No-Excecute Memory Protection" and
"Intel(R) Virtualization Technology"
Save with F10.

Re: DL 380 g5 hyper-v 2.0
CPU is Xeon 2.33
already installed hyper-v 1.0 with win.srv.2008 64 bit and i'm using it.
i wanted to learn that will be there is any problem installation win.2008 r2 on the same CPU.
as you say, there is no problem to install and use win.srv2008 r2 and hyper-v on my DL 308 g5 server.
thanks.
