DL 380 - have Serial Number, need product Number and "G" code (G1, G2, G3)

Hello all, I have 2 DL 380's and need a bit more info about them.

Serial #:
USE642NAD3
USE642NAD6

Trying to order more RAM, and don't know what generation they are (G1-G5)

For some reason, HP doesn't have a "search by serial number" site that I can find.

Thanks for any help!

Hi Rob,

If you can physically visit the server you will find the generation identified on the front of the system. (If the server is off-white and no G is listed... you have a G1.)

You can also often find this information by visiting the System Management Homepage for the server (if you have SMH and the Insight Drivers installed.)

For what it's worth, we have numerous serials beginning with USE64.. that are all DL380 G4s.

WFH-WI: I had access to them and didn't see any "G" listed... so you're right according to the post below yours. -Thanks.

Gary:
Thank you for the info, may I ask how you got it? I'd like to be able to do this myself in the future.

Ok, I'm off to order some more RAM for this thing! :-)
