DL 385 Dual Core 64-bit Windows Server 2003 installation problems

Hi guys,

whenever I try to install the 64-bit x86 based version, the server stops responding at 34% when discovering devices while installation.

Any ideas ? Would be great...

At first, what version of SmartStart do you use?

I use the latest one, 7.30, but the 64-bit Edition does not appear under the automated installation. Drivers are provided on the cd. It seems that the server stops responding when trying to install a device.

Strange... SmartStart 7.30 release notes show that Win2k3 x64 is fully supported. Can you try point to Win2k3 icon when smartstart installation startup?

yes I know that it is supported, but not with the fully automated installation...

Unfortunately, I havn't this model of server and can't take you any recommendation. Please post there if your solve this problem.

Jocham,
On our Dualcore 585 we found we had to perform a traditional windows install (x64 edition) minus smart start. Once the OS was up and running we applied PSP 7.3 and everything was good to go.
