HP Proliant DL 760 G2 with 4 processor with hyper trading technology Xeon MP 2.7GHz 2MB L3 writeback cache 4 GB RAM,
compare with HP Proliant DL 580 G4, 2 Processor Dual Core 2.66GHz, 4GB RAM.
Which server give best performance. At the time being, DL 760G2 is a production server, and my plan is to migrate to new server DL 580G4.
Pls advise.

My concern is, new server got only 2 cpu compared with old one 4 cpu.

Re: DL 760 G2 - DL 580 G4
1) New CPUs are dual-core - so you have four physical (not logical!) cores in total - like in the old server
2) New CPUs are based on the latest Intel architecture, so each single core is definitely much faster than the old one
3) IF you will need more performance though, there are two spare CPU sockets in the DL580 G4 for doubling CPU power
