DL 760
i have an 8 way dl760 last week a redundant power module failed i ordered a new one and replaced it on friday now i am getting a 1610 system temperature violation waiting 5 mins for system to
cool has any one seen this before and is there a way to get past it

From the research I have done please update the BIOS and the Management Driver to the latest. Here's the link.

i could do that if i could past the post error once the server sees all the cpu's it locks up till i reset it at this point i have ordered a system board 122216-001 i will let you know if this fixes it thanks for your reponce

Since you can't get past this can you try something? Download the latest BIOS flash and it will create a bootable floppy. Try an emergency ROM flash. Turn all switches on for SW1. Located right near the battery. After it accesses the floppy drive keep an eye on it and wait about a minute after the light goes out.
This is worth a shot.
