DL100G2; Windows setup doesn't show disks
Hi all,
I've been searching and trying for over a week now, but I can't figure out why I can't install any Windows server release on my DL100G2.
BIOS looks good, upgraded the Adaptec 2420SA to the latest firmware, Array(s) is/are shown while booting. But as soon as I enter Windows setup, it looses the disks/arrays.
I tried to load the driver, it even recognizes the correct card(Adaptec 2420SA) and loads the specific drivers, but still no disk/array shows up. Help? I have tried all versions of Windows Server here, 2003(R2), 2008(R2), 32 and 64 bit.

Re: DL100G2; Windows setup doesn't show disks
Hello,
we use the same Adaptec raid in no name server - but not as boot device - with no problem (win2003)
lets check:
1) have your created luns on ataptec?
2) have you enabled boot bios for this adapter?

Re: DL100G2; Windows setup doesn't show disks
1) I think you mean if I created arrays in the Adaptec config tool? Yes, I have. I tried several options and sizes.
2) Yes, it's been set to boot primary through the Adaptec config tool. I can't find an option in the HP BIOS to choose which controller boots first, but the only controller mentioned everywhere is the 2420SA, so that should also be correct.
Thank you for thinking with me. :)
