DL120 G5 only sees 3GB RAM

Installed Windows Server 2008 R2, 64-bit.  The OS only sees 3GB of RAM.  How can I get it to see the 4GB (2x2GB) that is installed?  Bios is 2010.10.25 13 Dec 2010.

Re: DL120 G5 only sees 3GB RAM

Hi,

Make sure the processor and chipset supports more than 3GB RAM.

Make sure there is no system memory allocated for Video card.

Make sure there is no other Add-On cards that is allocating System RAM.

Make sure its a 64bit OS, if its 32bit OS then try the PAE switch.

Check this article, it may help.

If still having problems, check if some Microsoft updates or SP fixes the issue.

Thank You!

The solution was unchecking the maximum memory box in msonfig, boot, advanced.
