DL120 G6 Memory issue
So I bought new ram for my DL120 G6, but with it installed it does not boot. I thought it might be incompatible so I bought another batch of memory but same result.
I get no display output and no keyboard input, the fans are spinning at pre-boot rpm and iLO says everythings ok.
CPU: Intel Xeon x3740
Previous RAM (if I put it in it works fine) : 4x 2GB-2Rx8-10600E DDR3
New RAM 1: 4x 4GB-2Rx4-10600R DDR3 (Lenovo)
New RAM 2: 4x 4GB-2Rx4-8500R DDR3 (Hynix)
P.S.: It will not boot with only 2 sticks installed either.

Re: DL120 G6 Memory issue
But it says:
Up to 16GB memory is available with the optional installation of 4 x 4GB PC3-8500R RDIMM DDR3 DIMM memory kits, operating at 1066 MHz when fully populated at 2 DIMMs per Channel in 4 slots.
and:
256MB technology, x4 DRAM on UDIMMs and quad-rank UDIMMs are not supported.
but nothing about r-dimms here:
https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=c02037017
EDIT: and in the quickspecs is nothing about "x4 not supported" only that the standard configs are x8
