DL140 G2 - RAID
Hi all
I can't seem to find the answer to this question for looking! I was aiming for an ML-150 with SATA RAID to act as 2003 server, domain controller and file storage at our branch offices (there are 9 of them). However, I'd rather have 2 DC's per site so am considering 2 x DL140's and a storage device, like a small NAS, instead. For resiliance I'd like the DL140's to have 2 x drives in a mirror - does anyone know if a) there's enough room for 2 drives, and b) if the on-board controller supports a mirror. I also intend to fit a USB DAT drive in the 5.25" bay in the front.
Thanks!
Simon

Re: DL140 G2 - RAID
Hello Simon,
The DL140 G2 supports 2 Internal drives, max 2 x 250GB SATA drives or 2 x 72.4GB SCSI Drives.
To setup a mirror you need to purchase an additional SATA Raid Controller.
Part Number #355671-B21
Hope this helps
Chris

Re: DL140 G2 - RAID
Brilliant - straight answer to a straight question! Pity they don't support any kind of raid out of the box but I guess you get what you pay for!
Many thanks
Simon
