DL140 G3 Broadcom NIC Teaming?

I've just installed and setup 4 of the above Servers but cannot find and NIC Teaming software for Windows on the HP website. Can anyone let me if there's anything available or am I going to have to run them with just a single live NIC?

Cheers for now

Re: DL140 G3 Broadcom NIC Teaming?

If this is the software that you can donwload from the HP site then I've tried about 5 different ones and they all say that the required hardware isn't installed (even though they are supposed to be for the DL140 G3).

I had a look at the URL's you kindly listed and they seem to be the same ones that I've already tried (although I'm using the x64 version of Windows).

Cheers for now

Have you installed the newest Proliant Support Pack? The teaming software is in there.

Re: DL140 G3 Broadcom NIC Teaming?

I was under the impression that the PSP's are only for the 300+ series of servers (not the 100 series)?

I'll have a look and give it a go anyway.

Cheers for now

That looks more like it but will it work with the x64 version of Windows Server 2003?

Sorry to be a pain

Re: DL140 G3 Broadcom NIC Teaming?

I'm sure that they are the Broadcom 5721 NIC's and I downloaded the latest driver for them from the Broadcom site (couldn't find them on the HP site).

I'll try the download that you've suggested and let you know how I get on.

Thanks for your help

Re: DL140 G3 Broadcom NIC Teaming?

I've just looked at the Google URL you posted and it just goes around in a big circle and I end up back at the HP page that I originally started at (the one where you enter the Server Name and it comes up with all the drivers, except the one I'm looking for)!

I think we'll have to call this a lost cause and I'll look at using the Windows NLB feature instead.

Thanks for your help, much appreciated.

Re: DL140 G3 Broadcom NIC Teaming?

hi

maybe you already fixed your issue R S Burnell

but just to let you know I had the chance to test BACS and worked for me fine
you only need .net framework 2.0 so BACS will work great

check attached file

Broadcom Advanced Control Suite (BACS) - NIC teaming 5721
