DL140 G3 LSI Controller problem - HDD SPEED VERY SLOW
Hi,
I have two DL140 G3 Servers with LSI controller. The server has two SATA Hot Plug Bays. It initially came with 2 x 250 gb Sata drives but I purchased 2 x 1TB WD Black HDDs.
The problem I am having is extremely slow hard drive write speeds. I.E. Windows 2008 R2 takes 2hrs to install. After it installed, I checked the hard drive write/read speed, it was averaging from 1-2 MB/s
Can anyone tell me how to correct this poor hard drive write speeds?
I also tried to install CentOS, it takes forever formatting the hard drive. It takes two hourds! just to format the hard drive.

Re: DL140 G3 LSI Controller problem - HDD SPEED VERY SLOW
I am having this slow hard drive problem no matter which size of hard drive I try.
I have tried
2 x 1000gb
2 x 500gb
2 x 250gb
All of these give me very slow write/read and format speeds.
Any help will be appreciated.
