DL140 G3 / P400 Card
I have an HP DL140 G3 server, which has always had a P400 raid controller fitted into the x16 pcie slot...
Recently i upgraded the firmware on this card from a very old release (2.08), to 7.24 however now the system no longer boots and will hang after detecting the logical drives attached to the controller.
If the card is relocated into the x8 slot then it works again, although this is impractical as the card is too close to the memory making it difficult to connect the cables, also considerably longer cables would be required.
Another P400 card which has 2.08 firmware works fine when installed on the DL140...
Is there anything that can be done? Or is it necessary to downgrade the firmware? And if so, what is the best way to achieve this?
