DL140 G3 Raid controller access

Hello,

just got a new HP server, DL140 G3, i want to define there RAID 1. but how do i get into the controller configuration? i tried Ctrl-A and F8 at startup and it didnt work, i also tried storage manager from windows 2003 installation and it asks for a password.

Please help me to solve this issue.

Hi,

try enabling SATA RAID from BIOS under Advanced. Then you must be able to go into SATA config with F8.

try using smartstart to confirgure your RAID, its very user friendly.

Sorry to report that the SmartStart CD will NOT work with the DL140.

If you have the same controller in your DL140 as I, it pops up during boot as a LSI SAS1068 Controller, and prompts you to hit F8.
