DL140 G3 - Use of Intel 5400 family possible
As 5300 CPUs are at EOL, does the mainboard also support the use of 5400 series (LGA771)?

Re: DL140 G3 - Use of Intel 5400 family possible
sebastian in a server enviroment i would not experiment , if it had any kind of server purpose,at all
as there is extremely little to gain and a lot to lose mainly reliability,If
i have over clocked cpu from the vectra 33hz and 66hz long time ago cutting in to chips and making traces etc, played with water and vapour chilled , but thats for fun
even used external psu to power up vodoo cards ,
and raise voltages on graphic card slots , but that was for fun..
if you are still curious try it and feed back
