DL140 G3 with LSI Logic 3080X
Okay, I have a DL140 G3 server. I have a 36GB SAS [That came with the server] and a 160GB SATA [purchased for a different DL]. I am trying to install/setup Windows 2003 Server but the server doesn't even see the LSI Card. When I boot, I get the options for F10 [System BIOS/Phoenix] or F12 PXE Boot. I have the standard config. for the BIOS, and the option of accessing LSI isn't even there. If I change BIOS settings, I can get the HP Embedded SAS/SATA, but not LSI. I've replaced the card twice [from HP] to no evail. Has anyone else had this issue?

Re: DL140 G3 with LSI Logic 3080X
Hi,
The standard configuration of DL140 G3 involves a HP Embedded SATA RAID Controller for Non-Hot Plug SATA Models and LSI 8 port card for Hot Plug SATA/SAS Models.
When trying to use the LSI card, you need to disable the embedded option in BIOS. Also the cables to be connected to LSI card.
Let me know if you require furthe details.
Regards,
Srinivas S
