Are there any known issues with installing the insight agents on a DL140? We have tried with the PSP and it fails every time. We checked the website and supposedly the DL140 is supported by the support pack, but we cannot get it to work. It installs the survey utility, teaming config, etc... Just not the insight agents. Anyone else have issues like this?

Solution
The DL140 is NOT supported by the ProLiant Support Pack. Where did you see that information (so it can be corrected)?
If you go to the download site at http://h18013.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/index.html and select DL140 you will not see the PSP associated with it.
The ProLiant 100 series are low cost entry-level servers and do not contain the Advanced Systems Management Controller present on ProLiant 300 and above. Because of that, neither the PSP or Insight agents are available for it.
To get some degree of management of your DL140 is running Windows 2000 or later, load the SNMP service (don't forget to change the 'respond only to localhost' setting if this is WS03). Using HP Systems Insight Manager it will be able to provide up/down status of the DL140 through SNMP polling. Additionally, if you give hpSIM a valid login for the box (set in Options --> Protocol Settings --> Global Protocol Settings), you will be able to collect data from it using WMI.

Re: DL140 - Insight Agents
Am I putting this user name and pw in under Default WBEM settings? Does this only effect this system or all systems? If all systems what will happen if this user name and PW is not valid on other server?
