DL140 NIC TOE cards

I have an original DL140 with xeon 3.2ghz chips.
The server is just coming upto 3 years old now.

I would very much appreciate if anyone can tell me if this servers Broadcom NIC's can be TOE enabled?

If the on board NICs can not be used for TOE can anyone recommend a NIC card that can be used in the 64-bit/133MHz PCI
expansion slot?

Re: DL140 NIC TOE cards

The BCM5701 is the chipset used in this server's board.

Broadcom has a product brief here:
http://www.broadcom.com/products/Small-Medium-Business/Gigabit-Ethernet-Controllers/BCM5701

As you can see from the Product Brief link there, TOE is supported. Just make sure you are using the latest drivers found here:

http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/19689.html

There are newer OEM drivers on Broadcom's site located here, since the HP ones are dated 2003 and the Broadcom ones are dated 2007:
