DL140 install Windows Server 2008 R2

I don't know why I'm doing this. I figure I should know how to do this stuff. Anyway, I bought a used HP DL140 Dual Xeon 3.06GHz Server with 4GB of memory to start my own server and learn how. I have a USB DVD drive, I connected it up, put in my downloaded Windows Server 2008 R2 (MS Action Pack) and booted it up from the DVD. It came up, found the disk drive I'd installed (250 GB IDE drive from WD), and proceded to install. When it went to reboot, it fails. I guess it doesn't see the boot track, I dunno. I power it down and back up, and get the same hang. (Press any key to boot from CD or DVD....., to which I don't reply.....)

I used the "ctrl-S" sequence that it seems to want to update boot logic, but it doesn't seem to be a BIOS menu, instead a Broadcom NetXtreme Ethernet Boot Agent message, then an MBA Configuration Menu that doesn't seem to have much in the way of choices.

Anybody out there do HP DL140's? I'm bettin' it's a simple thing. Hope someone can help!
