I have to update BIOS on DL145G1 server. The only download from hp-site is boot floppy, however this machine does not have one (nor socket on the board to put a floppy cable on it). Can somebody advise me how to make update ?

Solution
The easiest way is to use usb floopy drive , or prepare pendrive with Disk Storage Format Tool:
http://files.extremeoverclocking.com/file.php?f=197
You`ll use option "create a dos startup disk " and point to Your update disk.

Re: DL145 G1 - how to update BIOS without floppy
Hi,
You will have to use the USB key for this purpose and use the HP USB key utility found in the following location:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?swItem=MTX-UNITY-I23839тМй=en&cc=us&idx=1&mode=4&
or use a usb cd drive or cdrom media(DVD-ROM Option Kit 361040-B21) and use the firware CD.
Regards,
Akarsh
