DL145 G2 mem config with 2xCPU

Hi.

I have a DL145 G2 with one CPU and 2x1Gb memory installed. If I add a second CPU can I split that 2x1Gb (1Gb/CPU)? Or do I need to buy another 2x1Gb?

Can I add 2x500Mb to the second CPU? Instead of buying another 2x1Gb.

Since the memory is sold in pairs, I would think that you can NOT split it up. You need to buy additional RAM. As mentioned, you can probably get away with 1GB instead of springing for 2GB, but I would have to do some extra searching to know for sure.

Definitely can not splitthe memory.

It also mentions that you should install memory in pairs of the same size, but not that you HAVE to. There is a 6DIMM configuration that would make CPU0 have more memory that CPU1, so it might work.
