DL145 G3 & W2008 hypervisor engine

I'm trying to test W2008 RC0 and it's new hypervisor engine on a DL145 G3.

I've got a AMD Opteron Dual Core 2214 HE proc and was under the impression that this supports HW virtualization, however whenever I try to start a VS it errors pointing to enabling virtualization in the BIOS, I'm on the latest ROM revision (2007.07.19) but cannot find a settings that appear to enable it. Has anyone else got this working on a DL145 G3?

I've heard that it works on the DL360 G5 with the latest System ROMPaq as it offers preliminary support for W2008, I suppose that I'll have to wait for a updated ROM from HP?

Any advise is much appreciated

so there is nothing on Advance -> Processor Options -> AMD V Enable or similar.

to enable that option?

Hi Karlo

Thanks for the advise but the BIOS on the DL145 G3 doesn't have this option, I suspect it because it's a DL100 series

Just for info HP have just informed me that at this time the DL145 does not support virtualization.
They are currently working on the BIOS for the ML's and then work their way down the DL range
