DL160 G5 Storage Server with SC11Xe SCSI

Has anyone managed to get this combination to work? Quickspecs says that it is a valid combination to attach an Ultrium 920 tape drive.

I have let the DL160 G5 go through its startup and configuration first and everything works fine. Shutdown the DL160, install the SC11Xe and reboot and the server just hangs at about the stage where you login.

HP engineer has been out and eventually declared the DL160 DOA but the replacement gives exactly the same problem.

I have almost exactly the same kind of problem, only the server is Storageworks AIO 400r (based on DL 160 G5). Have you found a solution to this?

This problem was eventually resolved by HP replacing the SC11Xe SCSI adapter with an HP StorageWorks U320e SCSI HBA (AH627A). It was recognised and worked perfectly from the moment it was installed.
