DL160 G5 - W2008 x64 bits - NCU

Hello people

I have DL160 G5 I installed W2008 x64 bits.
I have to configure NICs individually (NC105i NICs embbeded ones) but once I install NCU for w2008 x64 from HP versions 9.10 - 9.0 I am not able to see NICs in that application so I can not team my NICs

also I have tried BACS from broadcom but it seems like BACS does work for W2008 yet

so any idea or suggestion?

Hi!

The CD shipped with the server doesn't have the NC105i. You need to download the driver from the next link

Try This one, this one is for Windows Server 2003 64bits, but this one is the latest for the NC105i. This one might work with Windows Server 2008 64x

I have the drivers NICs work just great with the drivers I have From PSP 8.0 for w2008 x64
They work individually.

I install this one
cp008497.exe

as well as NCU 9.1 but when I open NCU to team the NICs they just do not show up?

any idea?

hi,

this happens sometimes with w2k3 if Sp2 isn't installed.
workaround was ncu 8.80 if sp2 can't be applied...
you can try with sysrom,nic fw update , since the problem seems to be with the nc105i only...will research 4 smth else...

yes your right when SP1 is installed that issue happens

but the point is there is no SP for W2008 jeje and I tried 8.8 but I got a message that is not supported on that OS

try this BACS that support broadcom NICs, NC105i are Broadcim NICs

it works for w2008
