DL160G6: setting really Smart Array B110i as boot controller

Hi,
I'm trying to set the B110i controller as boot controler on a DL160G6 containing 2 SATA HDD, but SmartStart is warning me in the beginning of 2003 Server 32bit installation that there is an IDE controller (without any Disk) as boot controller.

I have followed the "HP Smart Array B110i SATA RAID controller User Guide" instructions (in RBSU, set the SATA configuration to RAID, and set RAID as Hard drive controller), but nothing changed in the detected boot controler order, and then i can't install Windows 2003 Server 32.

Can someone help ?

Thanks
Frédérick

Re: DL160G6: setting really Smart Array B110i as boot controller

The use of the "HP ProLiant DL160 G6 Easy Set-up CD" version 2.0 (5 jan 2010) solved the problem of a ID controller detection.

The Windows 2003 Server 32bit fails now after the copy of the necessary 2003 server files and the first restart.

It seems to be a B110i RAID driver loading problem => it will probably need a new post.
