DL180 G5 not recognizing USB DVD on bootup

DL180 G5 not recognizing USB DVD on bootup

It doesn't come with DVD drive. I'm using an external Sony DVD reader/writer to try to install Windows 2008. I looked at System Setup and USB is enabled. Bootup options only list network and HD but no USB bootup is mentioned. Any ideas?

even is not listed have you tried booting from it?


try update system ROM too

I did try to boot from it from various USB ports but no luck. I will have to see if I can update rom somehow with USB key. Perhaps my DVD reader is not recognized. Is there an external DVD any of you recommend?
