Re: DL180 G6 & P212zm SmartArray

How did you get this server? The P212 should have been wired to the drive cage from the factory. Or did you add the P212 later by yourself?

Depending on which backplane you have, 4-disk or 8-disk or 12-disk or 25-disk, you need one or more cables.

Take a look on pages 46 and 47 of

Re: DL180 G6 & P212zm SmartArray

I got the SmartArray after the server, then the solution is use a mini sas cable to connect the drive cage backplane to the smart arrya thats correct??

Re: DL180 G6 & P212zm SmartArray

Any problem?

After I add the controller P212 to my new DL 180 G6, the fan is almost at full speed.
I installed the last firmware...it seems to be ok because I read "Cheching the fan speed" or similar...but again a new updating (I think from the P212) did the fan go almost full speed :(

Yes, you need to connect the array to the backplane.

You did not say which backplane you have but based on the note in the quickspecs below, you need the mini-SAS cable 496013-B21.

You mentioned that you have the "4 HD HP LFF 300GB SAS" That means they are not supported by the embedded SATA controller so you would definitely need a SAS controller with a SAS cable.
