DL180 G6 troubleshooting PSU fan speed
Hi,
I need some help !!
On DL180 G6 server with 2X PSU, PSU's fan run at very high value on power on start ... and stay at the same level on normal process running.
To return to normal run PSU's fan speed value (slow and quiet), I have to do on powered on server:
- remove one PSU and plug in + power
- remove the second PSU and plugin +power
... and all is ok ... up to next reboot.
At next reboot, PSU'fan run at high level .
No PSU failure... I have switched PSU with DL380 G6 server ... no problem on DL380 ... and same high value on DL180.
Server run with last firmware (2014-02) and last bios version.
Nothing change with different power options in bios (custom, efficiency, balanced, high efficiency)
Any idea ? Thanks for your advise !!!

Re: DL180 G6 troubleshooting PSU fan speed
yes, you are right
I had to hardly skill myself about Proliant servers starting from zero, and I hadn't any knowledge about what does what. So just now I started understanding differences about iLOx and LO100i and what it is.
I'm stuck about the problem and at this moment I have my Proliant bricked :( :( :(
