DL180 V6 Installation Issue for Win 2008 Server

The Quick installation disk has an error. When trying to install the Win 2008 64 bit version standard edition, it complains that I have more the 4 GB of memory and will not install (I have 24 GB memory.) The memory limit on Win Server 2008 Standard edition 64 bit is now 32 GB. (Oops)

Do you recommend I install the enterprise edition from the Quick install disk or try to manually set up a generic install.

If I need to do an install from the MS disks, what are the required steps to install drivers and such?

Hello Cole,

simply remove some memory and add it after the installation.

OK

Might be a good idea to fix the disk though...

P.S. Pretty lame to have to configure a higher end server in this way.

Ok - so what do you do if your memory is in > 4GB pairs...

Note -- this is a known issue with the Easy Set-up CD that will be resolved shortly. ISO images of the new CD will be posted to the software downloads page for the DL160 G6.
