DL180G6 LO100i Setting Hostname with lo100cfg or ipmitool
Hi all,
although the manual says "using the default naming sequence assigned by LO100, LO100 - {Server Serial Number} . (For example, LO100 - CNQ123456.)" all my DL180G6 arrive with DNS Hostname "LO100"
Talked to my sales rep, but he is unable to fix it.
I don't want to change 100 boxes per month by Hand.
So... how can I set the Hostname of a LO100i from within the box (like hponcfg).
The manual of lo100cfg says it can't do it.
ipmitool seems to be unable to set it directly.
Can I somehow get to the serial interface of the LO100i with ipmitool?
Has anyone solved this Problem?
Regards Thomas

Is your serial number programmed correctly? Do you see the correct serial number if you go into Setup?

Yes, I see the Serial Number and Product Id with dmidecode and in the bios.
