DL320 ATA 100 Raid Array Controller and 250gb IDE drives

We just bought a DL320 G2 ProLiant Server and are having trouble with the Raid Array. When the system boots up you hit (F8) to open the "MegaRAID IDE Setup Utility Ver 2.7.0423C".

Once there I hit (F2) - Auto Config Raid 1

In the Physical Drives Information I see this
1 Cntrlr-0 Primary Device 0 - WDC WD2500JB-00GVA 131071 Online
2 Cntrlr-0 Secondary Device 0 - WDC WD2500JB-00GVA 131071 Online

Ok these are 250gb drives and it is on seeing or using 131071. Is there a fix for this or am I stuck using Small WD120gb drive? Any help would be great.

I believe that is the Limitation of the Mega Raid Bios for support, but I can't remember where I read that.

Hmmm I will have to see if I can find that somewhere I may either have to go SCSI or just put the 120 back in. If you find this support doc please post it.

Found it who knew it was under specs for unit. This qualifies me for the PEBCAK award.

Is there no FirmWare upgrade of the Controller possible?

This is because of the 48-bit Logical Block Addressing". One of the better documents I've seen on this is available at:

The truth is out there, but I forgot the URL..
