DL320 G2 Fan nise problem on WinXP
Hi there,
I cannot seem to be able to quiet my DL320 G2 down.
I think I read every thread on the matter.
I set the fan speed to "low", and updated to the latest BIOS (5/1/2004) and drivers (Support pack 7.0).
I'm running XP. I know this is not supported, but can someone help me?
Kind regards,
Giel Cuijpers

Re: DL320 G2 Fan nise problem on WinXP
Hi there,
What does the management agent report your sysem temperature as? Are you running the latest system health driver?
Hmmmm, about the OS...you would really want to install a supported OS as which OS do you pick when you download the support pack. I would have thought the support pack driver bundles are OS specific, so are you running Windows 2000 Server drivers on an XP Professional?
Anyway, hope this helps and don't forget to assign points:)

Re: DL320 G2 Fan nise problem on WinXP
I found the solution.
Install the Windows 2000 System management driver under compatibility mode for windows 2000. This works!
