Re: DL320-G2 with Raid 1.

HP did not releaase a MegaIDE driver for RH9.0

... there is a Redhat 8 driver:
http://h18000.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/17241.html

or

RHEL2.1:
http://h18000.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/20525.html
Enjoy!

Re: DL320-G2 with Raid 1.

Hi,

Very much you wont be able to use rpm to deploy linux on server. File should be in dd.gz format from site then rawwrite is used to make floppy on the same.
Where as raid card is concerned the details i am able to get is this
Storage Controllers
* Integrated Ultra ATA/100 Controller Module (Raid 0 or raid 1 capable)
* Integrated Single Channel Wide Ultra3 SCSI Controller Module (Optional)

Please share more infomration on this so i can try suggesting you any drivers.

Regards,
Prashant S.

Re: DL320-G2 with Raid 1.

Today, i try to use the following two driver to setup raid ,but can't success.
Redhat 8 driver:
http://h18000.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/17241.html
RHEL2.1:
http://h18000.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/20525.html

For Redhat 8 driver ,just a rpm file,i don't know how to setup it while install redhat9.0.

For RHEL2.1 driver ,I use the following command to install :
1.Format a new 3.5' floppy disk
2.use "# dd if=cpq_cpqarray-2.4.26-rh8.0.dd of=/dev/fd0 bs=1440k " to create a diskette
but some error shown, the error is "the disk no have enough space"......
3.Insert redhat 9.0 disk 1,type "linux dd",but some error shown ,and system halt.

For Smart Array 2xx, 3xxx and 42xx family of controllers for Red Hat Linux 8.0
I just use the install command same as For RHEL2.1 driver .but system like can't accept the driver.

I just think the driver no right.which one know the right driver and have install it success?Pls tell me .Thanks!!

Re: DL320-G2 with Raid 1.

I could not find a MegaRAID driver for RH Linux 9 released by HP, but the LSI website has one:
http://www.lsilogic.com/downloads/license.do?id=2000&did=5193&pid=2547

Click on the Redhat 9.0 link and agree to download it.

It is a .tgz file.

I hope this helps! -john
